“We are proud supporters of Safer Internet Day. We are very proud to support such a vibrant campaign with a clear message that we must have conversations about a better internet with young people.
Young people tell us that while they feel some improvements, particularly by the big social media platforms, have been made to deal with reports of bullying, they were clear that much more must be done.
They want social media and gaming platforms to do three very important things:
• Be clear about the types of behaviour that is acceptable on their sites.
• Act swiftly, fairly and appropriately when bullying does happen.
• Be transparent about the amount of bullying that is going on.”
