Antigone Davis, Director, Global Head of Safety, Facebook
People come to Facebook to share their stories and connect with friends and family, but none of this is possible if people don’t feel safe on our apps. That’s why we’re always working to build a safer and more supportive community. We want to empower people, young and old, to make digitally safe decisions and give them the information they need to navigate an increasingly digital world. The pandemic has caused young people to spend more time on devices, making this years’ Safer Internet Day an important opportunity for learning about internet safety and best practices. This is why we are launching a short film about understanding safety on Facebook, alongside some tips and resources to help parents support their children in staying safe on our platforms.
