Safer Internet Day reminds us that we must evolve with the pace of emerging technologies as well as the views and experiences of children and young people.
Last year saw the passing of the Online Safety Act, a significant change for the better that – fully implemented – will increase accountability and tackle online harms.
It also saw advances in technology that create both a wealth of benefits, as well as new ways for offenders to use technology to harm others.
In response, we must all improve how we protect children and young people online.
In the NCA, we put children at the heart of what we do. We relentlessly identify and arrest online offenders. And through our CEOP Education Programme we help children and young people feel safer and empowered.
Support change for the better this Safer Internet Day using the advice and resources available from Safer Internet Day and CEOP Education websites.
