Jeremy Miles MS, Welsh Government, Mininster for Education and Welsh Language
“The Welsh Government is pleased to be an official supporter of Safer Internet Day again this year. Everyone has the right to a happy education experience, which is why we have put wellbeing and children’s rights front and centre of our reforms. Keeping children and young people safe online is a key part of our National Digital Resilience in Education Action Plan.
With the theme of this year’s film competition being ‘making space for conversations about life online’, children are being invited to share their views, opinions or stories about life online. The winning films will be published on the Keeping Safe Online area of Hwb and I’m very much looking forward to seeing this showcase of talent from our schools in Wales.”
