Anti-Bullying Alliance

We are proud supporters of Safer Internet Day. We are very proud to support such a vibrant campaign with a clear message we must join together to create a better internet. In 2019 the Anti-Bullying Alliance worked with young people to make recommendations to tech companies about how they could address online bullying. Whilst they felt there had been some improvements, particularly by the big social media platforms, to deal with reports of bullying, they were clear that much more must be done. They wanted social media and gaming platforms to do three very important things:
– Be clear about the types of behaviour that was acceptable on their sites.
– Act swiftly, fairly and appropriately when bullying did happen.
– Be transparent about the amount of bullying that is going on.
