Report Harmful Content Launch new Bi-Lingual Site
The Report Harmful Content site that is provided by UKSIC, has just become available in Welsh language.
What is Report Harmful Content?
The Report Harmful Content service is a national reporting centre, provided by UKSIC that has been designed to assist anyone over 13 who has come across harmful content online. Report Harmful Content will help you to report it by providing up to date information on community standards and direct links to the correct reporting facilities across multiple platforms. The Report Harmful Content centre can assist you with threats, impersonation, bullying and harassment, self-harm and suicide, online abuse, violent content, unwanted sexual advances and pornographic content.
Now available in Welsh
Since 2014, our partners at SWGfL have been working with the Welsh Government to provide online safety resources and advice for education practitioners, learner, governors, parents and carers. As part of our on-going commitment to ensure ease of access to resources, support and advice for Welsh language speakers, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new bi-lingual service, Report Harmful Content.
Viewers will now have the option to view the website in English or in Welsh by just the touch of a button. Whilst the support given is still only available in English, Report Harmful Content hope this new line of communication will encourage more people to come forward and report harmful online content.
Users can easily toggle between English and Welsh language using a button clearly available on every page. Report Harmful Content is provided by UK Safer Internet Centre and operated by our partners at SWGfL. Their high levels of experience have given them the unique set of skills, insights and relationships with industry to provide specialist support to those who need it most.
