16 Feb 2024 Becca Cawthorne

Safer Internet Day took place on 6th February and we know many schools, youth groups, and organisations celebrated not only on the day itself, but also in the week surrounding Safer Internet Day. And now we want to showcase all of the amazing things that organisations like yours did to celebrate the day!

Tell us about your Safer Internet Day celebrations

Whether you ran lessons, held an assembly, had discussions in class, took part on social media or watched the films – we want to know how you celebrated Safer Internet Day!

By writing a few lines about what you did, you can appear on the supporters map which showcases plans from across the UK.

Registration takes less than 5 minutes to complete and then you will get a certificate to show your support, as well as appearing alongside thousands of schools, police forces, and other big names!

Online safety for more than just one day

Safer Internet Day can be a great starting point for discussions in your setting about online safety, but it doesn’t have to stop there!

The free resources, films, quizzes and other tools you need to navigate this year’s theme of change online are all available throughout the year on the Safer Internet Day website.

If you already ran activities around this year’s theme then why not take a look at the resources from  previous years, these can help you to tackle a variety of online safety topics, including:
