Three weeks to go until Safer Internet Day 2025 – four things you can do this week
With only 3 weeks to go until Safer Internet Day 2025 on the 11th February, there a lots of things you can do this week to get involved in the day!
Each year in the UK, Safer internet day focusses on a theme or issue affecting children and young people. For 2025, the free resources, top tips, quizzes, and information created for the day will focus on the theme: Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from scams online.
There are still a number of ways you can get involved in Safer Internet Day, and this blog looks at 5 things you can do this week to help you prepare.
4 things you can do to get involved this week:
If you haven’t already, now is the time to join organisations from across the UK by signing up as a Safer Internet Day supporter.
You will appear on our supporters map and receive an official supporters certificate, which will help us to showcase the amazing things happening across the country.
Why not prepare for the day by downloading the official, free Safer Internet Day Education Resources. These resources are tailor-made for educators to use with young people of all ages and all focus on this year’s Safer Internet Day theme: Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from scams online
Each resource pack contains presentation slides, activities and also an assembly for the whole school, and are split into four age groups:
- 3-7 year olds
- 7-11 year olds
- 11-14 year olds
- 14-18 year olds
Thanks to support from the Welsh Government and the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland these resources are also available in Welsh and Irish Languages.
