Official, free resources for Safer Internet Day 2025 are now live

With just three months to go until Safer Internet Day on 11th February  2025 – the official resources of the day in the UK are now available to download for free.
Created by our online safety experts, these resources enable you to embed online safety learning into your lessons to celebrate Safer Internet Day, no matter what age young people you work with!

Free resources for all ages

The Safer Internet Day Education Resources are tailored made for educators to use with young people of all ages and all focus on this years Safer Internet Day theme: Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from scams online
Each resource pack contains presentation slides, activities and also an assembly for the whole school, and are split into four age groups:

  • 3-7 year olds
  • 7-11 year olds
  • 11-14 year olds
  • 14-18 year olds

Thanks to support from the Welsh Government and the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland these resources are also available in Welsh and Irish Language.

Top Tips and advice about scams to look out for

Alongside the resources we have also created some top tips for young people as well as parents and carers. These tips give practical advice about how young people can keep themselves and their peers safe from scams online. These tips are available for:

Too good to be true? The theme of Safer Internet Day

The theme for Safer Internet Day 2025 is: ‘Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from scams online’. Created in consultation with young people across the UK, this year Safer Internet Day will be focusing on the issue of scams online and for young people, how to protect themselves and others, as well as what support is available to them.

This Safer Internet Day we will assess the real scale of this issue and allow young people to share their experiences and ideas on how to tackle the problem. We’ll build on the important work being done to raise awareness of issues such as online financial sextortion and we’ll also consider the future of scams, answering questions such as:

  • How is changing technology like generative AI going to impact the approach of scammers?
  • What role can the government and internet industry take to tackle this threat?
  • And what changes would young people like to see to help protect themselves moving forward?

About Safer Internet Day
Over the years, Safer Internet Day has become a landmark event in the online safety calendar. Starting as an initiative of the EU SafeBorders project in 2004 and taken up by the Insafe network as one of its earliest actions in 2005, Safer Internet Day has grown beyond its traditional geographic zone and is now celebrated in approximately 170 countries worldwide.
Safer Internet Day 2025 will take place on the 11th of February 2025, with celebrations and learning based around the theme ‘Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from scams online.
Safer Internet Day is the UK’s biggest celebration of online safety. Each year we cover an online issue or theme that speaks to the things young people are seeing and experiencing online.
