Celebrate Pride month in your classroom with new resources from Childnet
Pride Month celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and raises awareness of the issues still affecting them. It is a great reminder to celebrate LGBTQ+ communities, acceptance, representation and equality for LGBTQ+ people.
That is why the Childnet team have created a collection of activities to celebrate Pride Month with 11-18 year olds, helping them to understand the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community online.

What the resources cover
This resource has been written for use during Pride Month this June, and throughout the year. There are a range of resources in this packs, so whether you have 15, 20 or 30 minutes you can still cover key topics such as:
considering what life is like online for LGBTQ+ people
allyship and how best to support LGBTQ+ people online
the barriers LGBTQ+ people may experience to getting help with online issues
how to make the internet a safer and more inclusive space for LGBTQ+ young people
There is also a glossary of key terms you may hear during your pride celebrations.
Although Pride Month is a great reminder to celebrate LGBTQ+ communities, acceptance, representation and equality for LGBTQ+ people, many of these activities can be used year round.
