E-safety Live briefings tour of the UK continues

25 Apr 2014 UK SIC

The UK Safer Internet Centre’s E-Safety Live tour continues around the UK as the briefings head to Wales and the North of England in the coming weeks.

The 2-hour long sessions are FREE and are aimed at teachers and other professionals working with children and young people.

The sessions contain the latest about new online technologies and risks, esafety resources and sources of support as well as access to an online Resources area with template policies and useful links.

In Wales the sessions will also provide delegates with information about the NEW E-Safety and Awareness raising project.  Run by South West Grid for Learning with the support of the Welsh Government, this project aims to improve esafety in Welsh schools.  The project will create a dedicated Digital citizenship area on Hwb and adapt award-winning tools such as 360 degree safe and the Digital Literacy Curriculum for use by schools in Wales.
