The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), a partner in the UK Safer Internet Centre, and the UK hotline to report and remove child sexual abuse content online, has commissioned research to help guide their messaging about the reporting function.

The research found that 14% of young people aged 18-24 in the UK and 10% people aged 25-34 report have accidentally seen child sexual abuse images or videos online.

The sample included the responses of 2,000 people in the UK, who were polled about their experiences of harm online.
