Welcome to our new website!
With the 10th annual Safer Internet Day just around the corner, the UK Safer Internet Centre is delighted to re-launch the UK Safer Internet Centre website.
The url has stayed the same – we’re still at www.saferinternet.org.uk, but this new website has been designed to help direct our different audiences more clearly to the information to help them stay safe online.
If you’re tuning in to find out more about Safer Internet Day 2013, the new Safer Internet Day page offers clear directions to the collateral that we have designed to support those engaging with the day, from schools to organisations and industry.
On Safer Internet Day itself we will be putting up new content on the Safer Internet Centre website including a new interactive Internet Safety Connect with Respect Quiz (similar to last year’s Internet Safety IQ Test) that the Safer Internet Centre has developed for families to explore what it means to connect with respect, as well as top tips to help start conversations about internet safety. The quiz covers safety issues related to social networks, online entertainment, internet gaming and mobiles and also provides tips on how to connect with respect safe. There will also be conversation starters reflecting the top ten rights and responsibilities as voted for by the 24,000+ respondents to the ‘Have your Say’ survey.
We hope you find the new navigation easy to use and we look forward to welcoming you to the site as you come back to check out the wide range of resources hosted here.
