Extensions are downloadable tools that add extra features to Safari on OS X. Always read carefully which permissions an add-on may ask for before installing it, as some may seek access to data and details entered on sites and services in that browser.
Encourage your children to ask you for permission before installing extensions and if you are not happy with the permissions it requests, then it is best not to install it.
Extensions can be downloaded by visiting extensions.apple.com in the Safari browser. Installed extensions can be managed by selecting ‘Preferences’ in the menu and then the ‘Extensions’ tab.
