Safer Internet Day films awarded Albert Certificate
As part of the Safer Internet Day campaign this year we are delighted to announce that the films that were produced have received the Albert certificate for environmental and carbon neutral production.
To receive this recognition, the UK Safer Internet Centre collaborated with Sound View Media and followed Albert’s carbon offsetting scheme to ensure the films were carbon neutral throughout their production.
Carbon neutral
Offsetting is the ‘act of purchasing carbon credits to compensate for greenhouse gas emissions released into the atmosphere’. Since 2011, Albert supports the global Film and TV industry to reduce the environmental impacts of production and to create content that supports a vision for a sustainable future.
The cost of offsetting the film production will go towards supporting verified carbon reduction projects and responsible tree planting projects around the world which are happy to be a part of.
