Online Safety Live Events – Spring 2023
The need for online safety among children and young people is a constant responsibility that professionals must address. However, many professionals working with them may not be fully equipped to address the current digital risks that are being faced. One of the solutions that we offer is for professionals to attend an Online Safety Live session.
The Online Safety Live events are free sessions designed to provide educators, social workers, and other professionals working with children and young people with the latest information on online safety. They cover a range of topics such as online grooming, cyberbullying, sexting, and online radicalization, and are delivered by our experienced professionals with extensive knowledge in their respective fields.
Where are they held?
These events are held throughout the UK, with participants being able to choose a session at a location that is most convenient for them. Alternatively, they can attend a session online. The sessions last for about an hour and a half, giving professionals the chance to learn about the current online safety landscape, raise awareness around potential risks and how to mitigate them.
The upcoming events this Spring are as follows:
By attending these events, professionals will gain a better understanding of what children and young people may face online and how they can effectively address any concerns. Furthermore, if you’re interested in exploring other training options, our partners at SWGfL provide a range of training sessions to support organizations in promoting a number of areas within online safety.
