One Month Until Safer Internet Day 2024!

Can you believe it? We are one month away from Safer Internet Day, which will take place on February 6th, 2024.

Safer Internet Day has become a landmark event in the online safety calendar. So, we are asking organisations to join us in this important mission of making the internet a great and safe place for children and young people.

Last year, over 5,000 organisations signed up to support Safer Internet Day, and we are hoping to have even more involved this year! Are you wondering how you can get involved? Here are some key ways you can promote Safer Internet Day:

1. Register your Support

By registering your support for Safer Internet Day, you join thousands of organisations that are getting involved in the UK’s biggest celebration of online safety. Complete the online form to join the Supporters List and share your plans for Safer Internet Day, regardless of whether you work for a company, nonprofit, school, or other organisation.

Once your register, you will receive a certificate to display in your setting, and your logo will soon appear on the official Safer Internet Day webpage, along with your pledge about how you will support the day. You can sign up here

2. Join Safer Internet Day 2024: A Webinar for Teachers and Educators

In preparation for Safer Internet Day, we are welcoming teachers and educators to join this free webin ar on Tue, 16 Jan 2024 at 4:00pm – 4:45pm. Register Here. We will tell you everything you need to know about the Safer Internet Day campaign and signpost you to the various free resources available to support you.

3. Download the Free Resources

To support Safer Internet Day, education resources have been created for schools, youth groups, police services, libraries, and others. Download here

These free resources are tailored for 3 to 18 year olds and include activities such as interactive stories, worksheets, group discussions, and assemblies, with options for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Additional Learning Needs (ALN).Become a Safer Internet Day Activist

4. Become a Safer Internet Day Activist

We can make a greater impact and raise more awareness of young people’s online safety in society if we have more voices, like yours, advocating for change. This is a chance for you to make a difference by sharing these ready made post with the hashtag #SaferInternetDay.
