Only two months until Safer Internet Day
Safer Internet Day 2023 is on 7th February 2023, and will be celebrated with the theme “Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online”.
Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre, Safer Internet Day sees thousands of organisations get involved to promote the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people.
Now, with only two months to go until the big day, we’ve highlighted everything you can do to get involved.
Safer Internet Day 2023 – webinar for teachers and educators
An information session on January 11th 2023 with everything teachers and educators need to know about getting involved in Safer Internet Day 2023. Suitable for all educators including class teachers, school leadership, computing, RSE or other subject leads, and any staff member with a responsibility for online safety provision. This webinar will tell you everything you need to know about the Safer Internet Day campaign and signpost you to the various free resources available to support you.
Safer Internet Day video wall is now live!
As part of the Safer Internet Day 2023 campaign, we want to hear young people’s voices about their lives online.
We have created a video wall on our website where any young person aged 7-18 can upload a short film they have created about their online experiences – what they like, what they don’t like and what they would change if they could on the internet.
To find out more about how young people can create their own film and share it on our video wall, visit our Video wall page.
Educational Resources
For 2023, Safer Internet Day is all about putting children and young people’s voices at the forefront of the campaign, encouraging them to help shape the future of online safety support.
The education resources are there to help teachers and professionals – whether as part of a school, charity, youth group, police service, business, library or wider – to deliver engaging and interactive Safer Internet Day sessions.
Register your support
You can register your school as a supporter of the day to appear on our map and also get the latest Safer Internet Day news!
Without the support and engagement we receive from schools across the UK, we wouldn’t be able to reach nearly as many children and young people.
