We are supporting Anti Bullying Week 2016!
According to statistics released by the UK charity Ditch the Label earlier this year, 6 out of 10 children who disclosed they had been bullied stated it has happened online.
That’s why we are delighted to be supporting Anti Bullying Week 2016, which takes place between 14th and 18th November and is organised by the Anti Bullying Alliance.
This year’s theme is “Power for Good”, and has a few key aims:
- To support children to understand the power they have to stop bullying and create the best world possible
- To support parents and carers to support children managing bullying, and work together with schools to stamp out issues
- To encourage teachers to value the difference they can make in a child’s life, and encourage them to take collective and individual action to prevent bullying and make schools a safe environment where children can thrive
This year’s social media campaign is youth created and youth led – the #PowerForGood campaign is being coordinated by Jack Welch from YoungNCB. Find out more about how you can promote the campaign.
In addition there are lots of ways you can be part of Anti Bullying Week and show your support.
