Dr Patrick Roach, General Secretary, NASUWT
“Technology continues to play an increasingly important role in teaching and learning and in the lives of children and young people. Abuse and misuse of technology, treating others with disrespect, continues to damage the lives of pupils and teachers however, adversely affecting their health and wellbeing. It is important to make space so that conversations about this can take place.
The NASUWT continues to campaign for greater protection for pupils and teachers from cyber-bullying and harassment online and provides advice, guidance and training to help create safer work places and learning environments. No-one deserves to be abused or bullied because of their identity. The NASUWT is proud to support Safer Internet Day, which provides the opportunity to celebrate the positive benefits of the internet while raising awareness of the dangers.”
