“Protecting children and young people online is a key priority for the Scottish Government.  Technology is woven into almost every aspect of our young people’s lives – in socialising, learning and play.  It provides many amazing, ever-evolving opportunities but it also carries risks.  We want our young people to be able to enjoy the benefits of the internet safely, confidently, and responsibly.  Therefore, we welcome Safer Internet Day 2024 and this wonderful opportunity to work with our young people to create a positive and safer space for them online.

The Scottish Government is planning to develop and pilot an approach to digital inclusion training and knowledge sharing for organisations supporting those with experience of violence against women and girls.  Scheduled to take place on Safer Internet Day, invites will soon be issued to interested stakeholders to an introductory session to learn more.”
