Alexandra Evans, Head of Child Safety Public Policy, Europe, TikTok
We’re proud to support Childnet’s online safety resources, ensuring that children, teachers and parents have access to invaluable information, tips and advice for how to keep safe online.
Safer Internet Day is an important opportunity to reflect on the steps we’ve taken over the last 12 months to keep our community – especially our younger users – safe. These steps include our pioneering decision to make under 16 accounts private-by-default, to turn off direct messaging for this age group and the launch of our Family Pairing safety feature. Of course, when it comes to keeping our community safe, every day is Safer Internet Day. We therefore also take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to prioritising safety so our community can do what it does best – expressing creativity and spreading joy.
