Provider checklists
Filtering and monitoring checklists
Filtering and monitoring providers are invited to submit completed checklists to the UK Safer Internet Centre.
By completing all fields and returning to UK Safer Internet Centre (enquiries@saferinternet.org.uk), the aim of these documents is to help filtering and monitoring providers to illustrate to education settings how their particular technology system(s) meets the national defined standards.
Fully completed forms will be hosted on the UK Safer Internet Centre website alongside the definitions.
We have updated the Appropriate Filtering and Appropriate Monitoring Provider Response Templates to better reflect Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2026, evolving online risks, and current DfE filtering and monitoring expectations. The revised templates place greater emphasis on evidence, governance, annual review, transparency, AI-related risks, and understanding the limitations and dependencies of safeguarding technologies. The monitoring template has also been refined to focus more clearly on monitoring-specific capabilities, removing questions that related solely to filtering functions. The updated templates are intended to help schools better understand how provider solutions support effective safeguarding and assist providers in demonstrating how their products align with national expectations.
We have also provided a new template for Accredited filtering providers, who are encouraged to review and complete the template in preparation for their next accreditation review – feedback to enquiries@saferinternet.org.uk
