Speaking after the event, Nicholas Lansman, ISPA Secretary General said “ISPA would like to congratulate all the winners and thank all the attendees and sponsors for making the evening possible.  The Awards are a good measure of industry achievements in the past year and we wish all the companies further success over the next twelve months”

“SWGfL is delighted to have picked the Internet Safety and Security award up for 360 degree safe especially amongst such a strong shortlisted field” said Hilary Guckian, SWGfL CEO.  “We are immensely proud of our work in empowering schools with online safety to exploit the full potential that the Internet and technology has to offer”

360 degree safe is an e safety self review tool (www.360safe.org.uk) that enables schools to consider their wider e safety provision through all aspects of school life.  Certified by the University of Plymouth, it helpfully offers users a prioritised action plan as well as support through an external accreditation – the ‘e safety mark’.  All this and is free of charge to use.

The tool is currently in use by over 1,800 schools right across the UK with around 50 new schools registering each week; all looking to assess, improve and demonstrate their e safety provision.

Looking internationally, SWGfL has partnered with IKeepSafe (www.ikeepsafe.org) to embed 360 degree safe within the revolutionary Generation Safe.  Generation Safe packages a number of innovative tools to effectively equip schools to both prepare and respond to e safety issues.
