The #SID2017 social media campaign

The #SID2017 social media campaign asked people to unite for a better internet!

On the 7th February 2017 we asked people to join us to celebrate Safer Internet Day on social media!

The Safer Internet Day Thunderclap  kickstarted a day of trending and allowed people to unite and share a positive messages to show  support for Safer Internet Day.

The #giveasmile campaign encouraged people to post a smiley selfie or fill in our specially designed emoji. See how people got involved.

There was also an internet safety emoji charades game. We posted our internet safety tips through emojis and people around the UK got involved. See some of the great emoji charades people tweeted on the day.

Check out some #SID2017 highlights here on our Storify!
